Level 3 Award in Education and Training
This OFQUAL regulated qualification prepares learners for employment within the teaching role and supports them to progress within the workplace. Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an introductory teaching qualification and replaces the Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) qualification.
The qualification may be suitable for individuals currently working as assessors, teachers or those who wish to enter a teaching role. Achievement of the qualification doesn’t require practice other than microteaching unless units from the learning and development suite of qualifications are selected.

Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training
This OFQUAL regulated qualification develops practical teaching skills and prepares teachers to work in a wide range of contexts. The objective of this qualification is to confirm occupational competence in a teaching role within the workplace.
The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training replaces the ‘Continue to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector’ (CTLLS) qualification.
This course will empower you:
- Prepare learners for employment and support them to progress to a teaching role within the workplace
- Enable the learner to use resources in the delivery of inclusive teaching and learning
- Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
- Enable the learner to use types and methods of assessment, to conduct and record assessment
- Understand own role and responsibilities in relation to coaching
- Enable the learner to carry out the assessment of vocational skills, knowledge and understanding outside of the work environment

Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training
This OFQUAL regulated qualification, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training qualification prepares trainee teachers to teach in a range of contexts. There is a significant practice requirement as this qualification will assess and provide evidence of competence when undertaking teaching and/or training responsibilities.
The objective of this qualification is to confirm occupational competence in a teaching role within the workplace. Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to: Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
This course will empower you:
- Provide learners with knowledge, understanding and skills relating to teaching, learning and assessment in education and training
- Enable learners to gain knowledge, understanding and skills relating to developing teaching, learning and assessment in education and training
- Enable learners to apply theories of behaviour management in creating and maintaining an inclusive learning environment
- Provide learners opportunities to develop knowledge, understanding and skills relating to wider professional practice in education and training
- Enable Learners to understand the nature and purpose of action research, conducting action research and presenting the outcomes

Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
This OFQUAL regulated qualification will provide learners with an understanding of the knowledge needed when working directly with children and young people in school environments. It includes learning about children and young people’s development, safeguarding their welfare and communication and professional relationships.
The Certificate is suitable for learners working in senior roles that support pupils’ learning in primary, secondary or special schools.
